Join us for a hyper-local session designed to clear the path between applying and hiring in Regina. We move beyond generic templates to unpack the specific application channels, local hiring practices, and manager expectations across our city's major employment sectors. From entry-level survival jobs to credential-driven career paths, each workshop equips you with a practical toolkit for your resume, your interviews, and your long-term workplace integration.

Regina's early childhood education and childcare sector is one of the most actively hiring and credential-driven fields in the city — spanning large community non-profits, school-integrated learning centres, modern private networks, neighbourhood cooperatives, and licensed home-based providers. Most applicants miss out not because they lack warmth or passion for working with children, but because they apply without understanding that each type of childcare employer has a completely different hiring culture, credential threshold, and application pathway, underestimate the significance of Saskatchewan's Wage Enhancement program and how it meaningfully increases total compensation at every certification level, or remain unaware of the casual pool and home-based entry points that allow students and newcomers to begin working in childcare while still completing their ECE certification.

This session is designed specifically for newcomers with early childhood education experience from their home country wanting to find out how to re-enter the field, recent graduates or current students in ECE Level I or Level II programs looking to secure their first practicum placement or paid position, and career changers with backgrounds in education, social work, healthcare, or community services who want to transition into Regina's growing childcare sector.

This session starts with the foundation every candidate needs — Saskatchewan's ECE credential pathway from the 40-hour introductory course through Level I, II, and III, how the provincial Wage Enhancement program meaningfully increases total compensation at every certification stage, and how to begin working in paid childcare roles even before your full certification is complete.
