Generic advice doesn't get jobs, specific strategies do. Whether you are a newcomer or student looking to secure a survival job for immediate income, a recent graduate launching your professional journey, or a career changer pivoting transferable skills into a high-demand industry, the YQR Hire Me Series is built for you.

Join us for a hyper-local session designed to clear the path between applying and hiring in Regina. We move beyond generic templates to unpack the specific application channels, local hiring practices, and manager expectations across our city's major employment sectors. From entry-level survival jobs to credential-driven career paths, each workshop equips you with a practical toolkit for your resume, your interviews, and your long-term workplace integration.

Securing a position at a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation typically means working through a structured, multi-stage process: applying under the right job title, a resume that matches the posting's requirements, an online skills or judgment assessment, and a structured, competency-based interview using the STAR method, all before an offer is made. This session is your starting point. We'll map out the entry-level admin and customer service opportunities that actually exist across Saskatchewan's major Crown Corporations, what each role involves day to day, and what kind of background makes a candidate a strong fit.

This session is designed specifically for newcomers with post-secondary credentials seeking stable professional entry points, recent business and administration graduates, and career changers from customer service, banking, or reception backgrounds ready to step into a stable, unionized workplace with clear roles for growth.

Please Note: This is the introductory session in a multi-part series. It covers the landscape only (roles, requirements, and fit) and does not go into resume strategy, assessment preparation, or interview technique. Those are covered in dedicated, organization-specific sessions that follow: one each for SGI, SaskPower, SaskTel, and SaskEnergy, plus a combined session for SaskGaming and WCB. Each of those sessions delivers a role-by-role breakdown of that organization's hiring sequence, including how to build a keyword-calibrated resume, pass proctored online assessments, and score a competency-based interview using the STAR method. Attend this session first to identify which organizations are worth your time, then join the sessions relevant to you.
