The First Home Savings Account (FHSA) is a game-changer for Canadian financial planning, yet many remain unsure of how to best utilize it alongside existing tools like the Home Buyers' Plan (HBP). This workshop provides a deep dive into the technical mechanics of the FHSA, including contribution carry-forwards, qualified investments, and the critical 15-year participation window. We will explore real-world scenarios for maximizing growth while minimizing tax liability. Attendees will walk away with a comprehensive toolkit to provide high-impact financial literacy programming that addresses the number one concern for young adults today: entering the real estate market.
