Looking for work in Regina’s most common entry-level roles - such as retail sales associate, restaurant server, cleaner or housekeeper, warehouse worker, construction labourer, caregiver, parking attendant, or security guard? This workshop teaches you how to write a clear, effective resume tailored specifically to these positions and what employers look for when hiring.

This session is conducted on Zoom, click on the following link to join:

Your resume is your ticket to an interview - let’s make sure it gets you in the door! This hands-on workshop will guide you in creating a simple, powerful, and professional resume perfectly tailored for Regina's most common entry-level jobs. We make it easy, even if you have no formal work experience, are new to Canada with no Canadian experience, or have gaps in your employment. Learn how to present your skills and strengths in a way that convinces employers you are the right person for the job.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Identify and highlight your transferable skills like teamwork, reliability, and customer service
  • Use a proven, simple resume template that hiring managers love
  • Turn your duties—from volunteer work, home, or previous jobs—into impressive bullet points
  • Include the right keywords from SaskJobs postings so your resume gets noticed
  • Avoid the most common resume mistakes that get applications rejected
