Designed for new CS grads and displaced IT pros, this series explores free LinkedIn Learning courses to develop Cloud, Security, and Data skills for stable, in-demand roles at major local employers.

This session is conducted on Zoom, click on the following link to join: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89490894634?pwd=QECpN6LS4iFLrACHKoJw1CZyY391bj.1

The IT landscape in Saskatchewan is shifting. While traditional software development roles are becoming more competitive, demand is surging for professionals who can bridge the gap between software, hardware, and enterprise operations.

This series is designed for new Computer Science graduates and displaced IT professionals looking to pivot their skills toward where the local jobs are. We will move beyond "pure coding" to explore the practical, in-demand technical streams hiring right now in Regina:

  • Industrial IT & Automation: How to apply software logic to hardware (PLCs, IoT, and Robotics) in Saskatchewan’s industrial sector.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Operations: Moving from "building apps" to "managing the platforms" (Azure, AWS, and Hybrid Cloud).
  • Cybersecurity & Identity Management (IAM): The critical skill set every local employer is hiring for.
  • Data Engineering & BI: Building the "pipes" that power business decisions (SQL, Python, and PowerBI).
  • AI as a Productivity Multiplier: Using AI tools not to replace you, but to make you a faster, more versatile technologist.

What you will get: Each session offers a clear, practical roadmap to these career streams. We will show you exactly which LinkedIn Learning courses map to the certifications local employers care about (like CCNA, Azure Administrator, and PLC Fundamentals), helping you build a resume that stands out in a hardware-and-data-focused market.
