This event will happen online on Zoom. Zoom link will be emailed to participants prior to the program.
Recommended Materials: fabrics and felt scraps, burlap or other mesh-type fabrics (for the littles using plastic needles), embroidery needle or plastic sewing needle, embroidery threads and assorted yarns, scissors, ribbons, beads, sequins, glue stick/tacky glue/hot glue (for those who don't want to sew), and stuffing fiber (cotton balls and fabric scraps also work great).
Note: Please be sure to select a needle that is suitable for your child. Plastic needles or dull needles work great for folks new to sewing! If your child is more experienced with sewing, they could use a regular embroidery needle with a thimble. Alternative methods could include using a glue stick or white glue to tack down your beads or threads to fabric.
If you already have the recommended materials, great! If you need the materials, please contact spitman@reginalibrary.ca by Saturday November 29th to pick up a free materials kit. Materials kits are supplied on a first come first serve basis, upon special request.
