Discover the fundamentals of drawing portraits, including how to capture the proportions and features of the face. Participants will learn about the different materials and tools used in drawing.

In this drawing workshop, students will enhance their drawing abilities by exploring charcoal, shadow, and linework techniques. Each session will address a specific drawing aspect through short projects aimed at boosting confidence in artistic expression. No previous art experience is needed to register.
Materials: Materials will be provided for use by attendees; however, you're welcome to bring your own sketchbook and art supplies.
Date Range: Participants are encouraged to attend all classes.
Class 1: Getting Started with Portraiture - Thursday, October 10, 2024, 6:30–8:00 PM
Class 2: Portraiture in Practice - Thursday, October 17, 2024, 6:30–8:00 PM
Class 3: Advanced Portraiture Techniques - Thursday, October 24, 2024, 6:30–8:00 PM
Presenter Information: Zar Karamloo, an art teacher and artist with more than 6 years of artistic experience, is a passionate creative whose love for art knows no bounds. Possessing extensive experience in teaching various art forms such as charcoal drawing, colored pencil, watercolor, clay hand building, and wheel throwing, her workshops are places for creativity. Always eager to learn and try new things, she finds joy in the creation process and is particularly interested in dynamic projects.
