The Global Neighbour Series warmly welcomes individuals of all faiths and backgrounds, and is intended to foster an inclusive and respectful environment of cultural sharing. These programs do not not seek to proselytize but celebrate different cultures with the goal of promoting mutual understanding and appreciation among all our neighbours!
Presenter Information: Miorita Romanian Dance Group has been a permanent presence in Regina Cultural Stage for the last 30+ years. The group preserves and transmits Romanian traditions through dance at various cultural and social functions. Everyone is welcome!
Monica was born and raised in Romania and came to Canada about 18 years ago. Dancing was always a part of her life since a young age and nowadays she is a dance instructor helper with Miorita Romanian Cultural Society. For the past three years, she has been a Cultural Ambassador with Regina Multicultural Council teaching dance and Romanian crafts to school-aged kids in schools around Regina.
Central Library, the largest of the nine Branches in the Regina Public Library system, is a social and informational hub in the heart of downtown Regina. The Library maintains an extensive calendar of programs, training opportunities, art exhibits in the Dunlop Art Gallery, along with film screenings in the Library's very own repertory film theatre!
