Presenter Information: My name is Varinder Kaur. I am living with my family in Canada. I have 1 and 1/2 year old son. I am working full time at YMCA.

My mother used to apply henna in her young age. She used to apply it on my hands when we have a cultural event. So, it’s inherited.  Henna is my passion and I follow my passion. It’s been 6-7 years, since I started doing henna on other people. People want it on their hands, feet, arms, back, around neck and on pregnant bellies on different occasions.

In my culture we use to apply on weddings, festivals etc.. people have different beliefs about henna.

About the branch

Regina Public Library opened its first shopping mall location as what was then known as Regent Park Branch in 1966.

Since 1995, Regent Place Branch called 107 Albert Street home, and provided the community with a full-service Library Branch.

In February 2012, the Branch moved into a temporary location in the Regina Market Mall, while a new Regent Place Branch was being designed and built.
