Great for ages 10 - adults and all abilities. Join artist Cyril Chen and create a wearable bandana artwork utilizing linear and non-linear visual storytelling techniques. Participants will be introduced to examples of short 3-part comic strips, animation art, and illustrative zines, as inspiration for creating their own original work.
Recommended Materials: cotton bandana or fabric item (e.g. t-shirt, scarf, tote bag, etc), fabric markers, fabric paint, printer paper, pencils and erasers, or any other non-aerosol crafting supplies.
If you already have the recommended materials, great! If you need the materials, please contact spitman@reginalibrary.ca by Monday May 29th to pick up a free materials kit. Materials kits are only available for residents based in Regina SK.
Hello! My name is Cyril, and I'm an animator, illustrator, and interdisciplinary artist based in Regina, SK. I recently graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Animation program at Sheridan College. I've worked for independent, creative, and artist-run groups within various projects spanning multimedia art, short documentaries, and digital solutions.
