Practice figure drawing skills in a relaxed environment with a live model. This class is for all skill levels, but does not involve instruction. Perfect for independent artists working on technique.

Designed for adults and older teens, this program is not suitable for children. Please note that this class does not involve instruction and is intended for individuals who want to practice their craft independently. 

This figure drawing class provides a relaxed environment for artists to practice their skills by drawing a live model. It is an opportunity to refine your techniques in capturing the human form through observation. This class is open to artists of all levels who want to hone their skills in figure drawing. Participants are encouraged to bring your own drawing materials and paper, though pencils will be available.

Registration is required to participate. Registration closes at 4:00 PM the day of the program. Drop-in's will not be allowed in the room. Please arrive early. Late arrivals will not be allowed into the room once the program has begun. 

The studio standards for a live figure drawing class include:

  • Respecting the model's privacy and maintaining a professional and respectful attitude
  • Artists are expected to arrive on time
  • Taking photographs is not allowed
  • follow any instructions of the class facilitator
  • Please keep noise levels to a minimum
  • Maintaining a clean workspace and disposing of any trash before leaving the room

These standards help create a safe and professional environment for everyone involved in the class. Anyone not following these standards may be asked to leave. 

This group meets once monthly. Summer figure drawing sessions are held on Tuesdays, June 13, July 11, August 15, 6:00 to 8:30 PM

Sunrise Branch first opened its doors to the public in 1990 and since then has operated as a full-service branch for the residents of Regina.

French language books for children and a small, regularly changing collection of Chinese language books
