Sacred Teachings: Indigenous and Christian Traditions

Join Rev. Deb Anderson-Pratt, minister of Regina Native Outreach Ministry as she offers a spiritual reflection followed by open discussion.

These conversations seek to cultivate an understanding that separate traditions (Indigenous Worldviews and Christianity) are rooted in teachings of love and acceptance. By learning how to grow alongside one another we can undertake new journeys, stronger than before.

This program warmly welcomes individuals of all faiths and backgrounds, and is intended to foster an inclusive and respectful environment. Please note that this event does not seek to proselytize and aims to promote mutual understanding and appreciation among all attendees.

The Community Commons is located on the main level of Central Library

Presenter information: Rev. Deb Anderson-Pratt is a Cree-Saulteaux woman who grew up on the George Gordon First Nation reserve. Deb attended Sandy-Salteaux Spiritual Centre in Manitoba and was ordained in Fall 2020. As the minister of Regina Native Outreach Ministry, Deb is passionate about sharing the similarities of Indigenous traditional teachings and the teachings of Christianity.
