Ages 6 to 10. Your child will engage one-on-one with a RPL volunteer. Together, they will read stories and play interactive literacy based games to grow a love of reading.
Volunteers provide one-on-one interactive support to your young reader. Ideally, your child will be paired with the same Big Buddy for the entire program. Reading Buddies fosters positive social interactions, share books, practice writing and reading comprehension and play interactive literacy based games.
Sessions are 1 hour per week for 6 weeks from 5:00 - 6:00 PM:
March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5
Registration is not required, however, participants are encouraged to attend all 6 weeks. Parents are required to remain in the library branch for the duration of the program. Questions? Contact volunteer@reginalibrary.ca
