Join Writer in Residence Pam Bustin for a 13-week writing program that follows Kendra Levin's book The Hero is You: Sharpen Your Focus, Conquer Your Demons, and Become the Writer You Were Born to Be.
Identify your biggest challenges and render them powerless. Start a project that you love--and stick with it. Design a structure for writing regularly.
Whether you're a first-time writer with a brand-new project or a seasoned pro, you'll reach the end of this program feeling fulfilled, inspired, and ready to continue bravely on your creative journey.
Books will be available for loan from the library for the duration of the program.
Date Range: Program runs Saturdays, March 4-May 27, 10:00am-12:00pm, online.
This program is conducted through Zoom. Register to receive a reminder, the evaluation and any other resources.
Presenter Bio: Writer in Residence, Pam Bustin is a writer, performer, story-tender, and the award-winning author of the novel Mostly Happy, the stage plays Saddles in the Rain, The Passage of Georgia O’Keefe and barefoot, and the CBC Radio dramas Coffee in Lloyd, The White Car Project, and Talking with the Dead. She was born in Regina and raised in a host of small towns across the prairies. For the last ten years, she’s lived mostly in Chapleau Ontario with a lovely man and 10,001 books.
She served as the Saskatoon Programs coordinator for the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild and sat on the board and dramaturgical committee of the Saskatchewan Playwrights’ Centre. She has sorely missed the comradery and depth of talent in the Saskatchewan writing community and is thrilled to be returning to Regina and to one of her favourite libraries to serve as Writer in Residence.
Whether you yearn to take the first step towards developing a writing practice, are starting a new story, or find yourself lost in the woods with a book that you fear you will never finish, Pam would love to accompany you for a time on your journey.
