Elder Hazel Dixon is an oral storyteller of Ojibway/Mohawk ancestry from Ontario. She has done extensive storytelling at various conferences, schools, children’s festivals, exhibitions and libraries throughout Saskatchewan. Many of the stories are traditional First Nations Legends. In addition to her storytelling, she has also been trained as a Life Skills Coach Facilitator and has found that these skills assist her in many ways. During the Saskatchewan Centennial Celebration, she was in a Métis radio play which was aired on CBC Radio. Hazel was a teacher at the Come & Learn Preschool in Regina. She is an Elder with both the Regina Public School Board and the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.
