This program meets at the Community Commons which is located on the first floor of Central library. RODS offers programming that collaborates and incorporates newcomer, Indigenous and Canadian perspectives in regular services.
What is the Orientation Services for Newcomers (OSN) Program at Regina Open Door Society (RODS)?
Through Orientation Services for Newcomers (OSN) RODS will meet with you, find out what you need and work with you to help you settle in your new home. RODS information orientation sessions teach you how to access various services, search for a job, and use the internet to find helpful information. The OSN program will take you on group tours of the library, government and recreational buildings in Regina.
The OSN program offers the following types of services:
· Walk-in services for one on one consultation and Group Orientation services
· Applying for Saskatchewan ID, Health Card, Government benefits...etc.
· Volunteering opportunities
· Referral to employment programs and English language classes
· Information on school registrations and referrals
· And more
