Presenter Bio: Tanisi Kahkiyaw, good evening everyone, my name is Lacy Francis. I am nehiyaw iskwew (Cree woman) from Piapot First Nations. I enjoy creating beaded regalia pieces and wearable art for my children, relatives and friends. I have been beading for 18 years and created many pieces throughout my adult life. I started when I was 13 years old with sinew and dollarstore beads. I didn't have a teacher, relative or friend to show me how to bead at that time, so I taught myself based on trial & error. Today, I have created many beaded pieces, my favourite project to do is flat stitch beaded earrings.
