Join RPL Writer in Residence Pam Bustin for a weekly writing workshop for Newcomers. You'll gain inspiration, guidance, and time to focus on your writing. You can write by hand or on a digital device.

Part of RPL’s Try Something New & Stories programming series.

This program is conducted through Zoom.  Register to receive a reminder, the evaluation, link, and any other resources.

Dates:  Program runs Wednesdays, February 8, 15, 22 from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. Plan to attend all sessions.

This group will work with writing prompts and share our work verbally with each other to gain confidence in our writing and story-telling skills. Pam will also answer any questions you may have about writing.

Presenter Information: Writer in Residence Pam Bustin is a writer, performer, story-tender, and the award-winning author of the novel Mostly Happy, the stage plays Saddles in the Rain, The Passage of Georgia O’Keefe and barefoot, and the CBC Radio dramas Coffee in Lloyd, The White Car Project, and Talking with the Dead. She was born in Regina and raised in a host of small towns across the prairies. For the last ten years, she’s lived mostly in Chapleau Ontario with a lovely man and 10,001 books.

She served as the Saskatoon Programs coordinator for the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild and sat on the board and dramaturgical committee of the Saskatchewan Playwrights’ Centre. She has sorely missed the comradery and depth of talent in the Saskatchewan writing community and is thrilled to be returning to Regina and to one of her favorite libraries to serve as Writer in Residence.

Whether you yearn to take the first step towards developing a writing practice, are starting a new story, or find yourself lost in the woods with a book that you fear you will never finish, Pam would love to accompany you for a time on your journey.
