In this fun and relaxing 2-hour session learn to create beautiful circular and geometric patterns known as mandalas. Cost-recovery fee of $5/person.
This program is an in-person program. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
Materials will be provided to all registered participants at the time of the workshop.
Ages: Adults and teens ages 15 and over are welcome at this program.
Mandala is rooted in Australian aboriginal art, and it is melded with Buddhist mandala meditation practices.
Ariane Flichel is a Saskatchewan printmaker who studied under Jack Cowin at the University of Regina. She graduated with a double degree in printmaking and drawing and with Distinction in 2005. Ariane also graduated with a Master's degree in Printmedia from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009. Ariane has worked in many collections internationally, including The Joan Flasch Artist Book Collection and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago among many private collectors. She currently teaches alcohol ink painting and other mediums throughout Regina while maintaining a home studio practice.
