The City Building Speaker Series brings together people with ideas and experience in building strong, successful cities. This event is a chance for downtown business owners, city leaders, community partners, and residents to come together and talk about the future of Regina’s downtown.

The conversation will look at how downtowns are changing. Rather than focusing mainly on office workers, many cities are working to create lively, welcoming spaces where people want to spend time throughout the day and evening. It will explore how programs, cultural activities, and support for local businesses can help make downtown a place that attracts workers, residents, and visitors alike. The discussion will also highlight work already happening in Regina that is helping create a more active and connected downtown, and how continued collaboration can make the city centre an even stronger place to gather, connect, and enjoy.

Join the conversation and be part of shaping a downtown Regina where people want to gather, connect, and stay!

Mary W. Rowe is a urban advocate and civil society trailblazer who has worked in cities and with communities across Canada and the United States. Mary is a frequent contributor to national and international city-building programs, including UN Habitat, the Massey City Summit, The Art of City Building and the World Urban Forum.

Presented in partnership with Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID). This event is free and open to the public.
