1. Open Mic Night - Peace & Power
Location: RPL Film Theatre, Central Library
Open mic for all skill levels. Share your poetry, spoken word, dance, rhymes, or anything you’ve been creating. Drop-in and be part of this inspiring event, as we celebrate peace, power, and collective action. Enjoy live performances, DJing, and painting by local artists.

2. Exhibition - Change is the only constant
Location: Dunlop Art Gallery, Central Library
Join us for tours of "Change is the only constant", by Yujie Gao, Laura Kavanaugh, and Ian Birse to explore the flux of time and sensory response in a multimedia exhibition.
Gao Yujie is a media artist, performer, and researcher who explores time as an artistic material through site-specific performances, interactive installations, and data visualizations.
Under the name Instant Places, Laura Kavanaugh and Ian Birse have created intermedia performances and generative artworks around the world.
3. Artwork - “Becoming Home” audiovisual installation by Yujie Gao and Kadence Meredith
Location: Skuare, Pat Fiacco Plaza (Outside)

4. Drop-In Workshop - Pocket Home Altars
Location: Community Commons, Central Library
Drop by and create a personalized pocket home altar to utilize as a personal space for self-care and reflection. Great for all ages and abilities.
5. Drop-In Workshop - Motion Caption
Location: Digital Media Studio, Central Library
Join staff in the Digital Media to explore motion capture technology.
6. Artwork - "Clip" audiovisual installation by Hilarey Cowan
Location: Sunken Garden, Central Library
"Clip" is a media work that weaves together sonic memories, found sound, and field recordings.Hilarey Cowan is an artist working across sound, moving image, sculpture, and performance. She is an active member of Holophon Audio Arts, and performs as half of the duo, diatom. In her solo work she is currently experimenting with chord organ, radio and kitchen appliances.
7. Light Painting Portraits
Location: Children’s Storyroom, Central Library
Create a digital light painting to share with friends and family!
Light painting is a photography technique that uses long exposure and contrasting dark/light. Use a light source as your “paintbrush” and experiment with techniques and movement to create your very own masterpiece.
