Join us for a cultural beading experience focused on creating a stunning dentalium shell medallion. Guided instruction will help each participant design and complete their own medallion, blending personal expression with modern cultural artistry. This program is open to everyone of all skill levels for beading. Participants will need their own set of needle nose pliers. These will not be provided however they can purchased at and are available at Dollar Tree in the craft section.
Material Provided
Instructor Bio: Katelyn Ironstar is an Indigenous artist from Treaty 4. She grew up in a powwow family and has been beading since the age of thirteen. Katelyn is the owner of a small business that specializes in providing high-end, personalized Indigenous corporate gifts and accessories to companies and organizations Canada wide. Katelyn also specializes in facilitation and providing cultural arts workshops for various organizations. She is passionate about sharing her talents and enjoys passing on her knowledge to others in the hope that they will do the same.
