Ages 2 to 4 and their caregivers. Dance to live music and explore a series of fun movement patterns for a full-body/brain workout, lead by dancer Ashley Johnson along with musician Jeff Romanyk.
BrainDance integrates developmental movements that help to wire the brain and nervous system for young children. Through dancing joyfully and responding to live music, an environment can be created that leaves young children feeling calm, engaged, and connected to their bodies.
Ashley Johnson is a dancer, dance educator, and somatic practitioner based in Regina, SK. She regularly educates on the importance or daily integration of creative dance and movement breaks. Ashley is passionate about the brain-body connection, play, and movement as a way of knowing. See her work at Constantly Seeking Softness.
Jeffrey Romanyk is a JUNO and Polaris-nominated drummer, performer, instructor, and session musician, known for his work on Rah Rah's album "The Poet's Dead" and touring with various Canadian artists, including Rah Rah, Library Voices, Jenn Grant, Jason Plumb, and more.
