Delivered by Regina Public Library's 2025 Indigenous Storyteller in Residence Rhonda Donais.
About Rhonda: Rhonda Donais will share traditional Indigenous knowledge and history through storytelling and support aspiring storytellers to learn how to tell their tales. “I’m always excited to see kids’ reactions to my stories,” said Rhonda Donais. “I think it’s important to share Indigenous traditional knowledge with the next generation to keep our stories and culture alive.”
Rhonda lives in Regina and is a member of Ocean Man First Nation. She has been a performer and storyteller for over 30 years and teaches First Nations’ animal legends and Algonquian songs to children. She’ll spend her term visiting schools, care homes, and workplaces, and running storytelling programs that combine art with stories. Rhonda’s residency at Central Library runs until May 2. Aspiring storytellers or organizations interested in booking a session with Rhonda can book appointments by emailing rdonais@reginalibrary.ca.
