Sewing Basics

Ages 13 and over. Join us in our drop-in monthly sewing programs! Work on your own project or try a beginner-level one with minimal guidance. Sewing machines and materials are provided.

This is an in-person program. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.

Dates: Join us on select Saturdays, at the Albert branch. Each session will feature beginner-level projects, and you're welcome to attend any or all of the sessions that suit your schedule. Feel free to bring your current sewing project to work on during our drop-in program.

Ages: This program is designed for adults, including young adults (13+). It's not suitable for children.

Materials: We'll provide all the necessary materials and equipment, so you can focus on your sewing skills.

The program can accommodate up to 10 participants and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

About the branch

Albert Branch is an inner-city branch that serves the North Central area of Regina. It is located in mâmawêyatitân centre, a one-of-a-kind facility shared by the City of Regina, the Regina Board of Education and Regina Public Library to that offers integrated services and resources and services to in the North Central community.

Albert Branch offers an extensive collection of adult, young adult and juvenile materials that support and reflect the members of this unique community. The Branch also offers programming that develops knowledge and understanding of the diverse cultural groups in Regina, while highlighting the Indigenous community.

The Albert Branch collection includes fiction and non-fiction titles, CDs, DVDs/Blu-ray, spoken word, graphic novels, magazines, family literacy kits, Indigenous language kits and access to all the RPL digital resources.
