In this program, we’ll learn about two Halwa, popular desserts known for their rich flavors and nutritious ingredients.

  • Gajar ka Halwa, also known as Carrot Halwa, is a beloved dessert in Indian cuisine, especially popular in North India. Originating from the Mughal era, this dessert was introduced as part of a fusion between Persian and Indian culinary traditions. Traditionally, it’s prepared during winter months when carrots are in season, making it a comforting and seasonal treat. A classic Indian dessert made from grated carrots, milk, and sugar, cooked to a soft texture and topped with nuts and cardamom for a fragrant, warming treat.
  • Walnut Halwa: A nutty, aromatic Halwa featuring walnuts, milk, and spices, creating a creamy and flavorful dessert packed with nutrients.

Join us to learn how to make these delicious gluten-free desserts from scratch!
