Need help finding legal information? Law Society of Saskatchewan librarian, Alan Kilpatrick, will be on-site to help guide you through the many legal resources available.

We’re here to help you find legal information and teach you how to use legal resources. Legal information can help you better understand the law and enable you to identify the range of options available to you within our legal system.

If you need more than information about the law, we’ll refer you to organizations and lawyers that provide legal advice, including those who offer free and low-cost legal assistance. It can be hard to know where to go to get legal advice. Our law librarians have expert referral knowledge of legal assistance organizations in Saskatchewan.

For more information on this program watch this video.

Not in Regina or want to speak to us right away? Call us anytime for legal information assistance or visit us in-person at one of our locations! Email us at reference@lawsociety.sk.ca. Call us (306) 569-8020 or toll-free 1-877-989-4999 or visit 2425 Victoria Ave (Regina King’s Bench).

Additional Information

The help table is located on the main level of Central library, near the circulation desk.

The law librarian provides legal information, but not legal advice. The Law Society of Saskatchewan also will not recommend a lawyer or act on an individual’s behalf.

This program is offered in partnership with The Law Society of Saskatchewan. For more information visit their website at https://www.lawsociety.sk.ca

About the branch

Central Library, the largest of the nine Branches in the Regina Public Library system, is a social and informational hub in the heart of downtown Regina. The Library maintains an extensive calendar of programs, training opportunities, art exhibits in the Dunlop Art Gallery, along with film screenings in the Library's very own repertory film theatre!
