Dunlop Art Gallery Celebrates 2024 Governor General Award Winner Marjorie Beaucage Location: Central Library Mezzanine
Dunlop Art Gallery (DAG) is honoured to recognize Métis artist Marjorie Beaucage, the winner of the 2024 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts. The award is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious distinctions for artistic merit and contribution in Canada.
Join DAG in celebration of Beaucage‘s achievements with a book launch of her newest publication Leave Some for the Birds and a conversation with Erica Violet Lee, a nêhiyaw (Plains Cree) author, poet, community organizer, artist, and scholar.
the celebration event will take place in person Saturday April 13, 2:00pm at Central Library, also livestreamed on the Dunlop Art Gallery YouTube channel.
