Brandy Bio: Drin Gwinzii, good day. Part of the Dene Nation, We call ourselves Dinjii Zhuh, descendents of man, human beings, As a Tribal Group we are the Teetl'it Gwich'in, People of the Peel River Watershed, Treaty 11. Brandy Jones comes from a long line of medicine women, She is an Inuvialuit and Gwitch'in artist originally from Williams Lake, British Columbia who now makes her home on Treaty 4 Territory in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. As a Treaty woman in section 35 of the Canadian Constitution: First Nation, Inuit and Metis, Brandy carries all parts of the Indigenous People of Canada and USA. She is inspired by many different forms of Indigenous art. Brandy’s work is a mixture of native arts, the bright colours represent every Indigenous Nation. Her work represents the marriage of all Indigenous nations and the rising of a new generation that will help heal the elders, families and land. Brandy has a original style that has never been seen before and is a celebration of the beauty, success, hardships, and perseverance of all Indigenous peoples. She uses her gifts to advocate, educate, inspire and motivate people to explore Indigenous culture. Brandy is privileged to work full time as an artist. Brandy’s artwork can be found under the name BrandyJonesIndigenousArtist @tiktok, Instagram or Facebook.

Geanna Bio: Geanna Dunbar is a Cree - Metis multi-disciplinary artist. Her trades include many mixed medias, spoken word, and body modification which entails body piercing, skin branding, tattooing and cultural tattooing (traditional practices of the Plains Cree skin stitching and hand poked). Located in downtown Regina, she works in many communities, her current work includes snow sculpting with the 2021 Frost Festival, Her murals with the Albert Memorial Bridge Foot Tunnel, Albert St Underpass as well as the corner of Saskatchewan Drive and Elphinstone. You will also see her seasonal window painting and chalkboard work with local businesses such as downtowns Fresh & Sweet, Vintage Vinyl and Bonzzinis Brew Pub located on South Albert. Currently collaborating with the Twinkle Star project, illustrating a children’s book and still writing her poetry, which often reflects real life issues, showcasing emotions as art. With a special interest in sustainable art and interdisciplinary community collaboration, Geanna often sets personal challenges that help her grow and deepen her relationship with her environment and with others.
