Chef Karen will make a delicious caramel/chocolate treat right along with you as you work in your own kitchen using the provided kit. She will teach you how to properly temper chocolate and more.

Materials: Kits will be available at Connaught Branch Library ( 3435 13th Ave) during open hours. Note that Connaught is Closed on Mondays. One kit per registered customer.
You will need:
Access to a microwave
A small rubber/silicone spatula (for stirring chocolate)
A metal fork (for dipping)
A bowl for melting chocolate (microwave safe - preferably plastic/silicone but glass will do)
A food thermometer (recommended, but not required)
Karen Morley: Certified pastry chef, chocolatier and owner of FancyPants Kitchen, Karen Morley has studied under some of the world’s finest master chocolatiers. She will teach you how to properly temper chocolate and overcome any hurdles you may have encountered in working with chocolate.
