Practice your embroidery skills, learn new stitches and more about how to compose your very own designs! There will be lots of demonstrations and plenty of time for creativity and discussion.
Participants must have attended one of RPL's beginner embroidery programs or have basic embroidery skills in order to participate in this program.
Program Dates: Program runs Thursdays: June 10, 17, and 21. Plan to attend all sessions.
Materials provided as needed: You'll need an 6-inch OR an 10-inch embroidery hoop, 2 pieces of cotton fabric (approx 14-inches x 14 inches), an embroidery needle, and a selection of embroidery thread. Have most of your supplies, but missing a few items? Visit the Regent Place Branch June 5 - 10 at 331 Albert Street during library open hours. Limited supplies will be offered to registered participants based on individual need.

Marjorie Zech is a fibre artist living in Regina, SK. She has been actively working with textiles and fibre art for 12 years, although she first began working with fabric at a very young age, taught by her mother. Marjorie spent 4 years as the president of the Regina Weavers and Spinners Guild and has taught classes at the Neil Balkwill Centre. Marjorie loves making things with her hands, sharing age-old fibre art knowledge and believes anyone can create art as personal expression.
