Join us to create a beaded strawberry pin and learn how the heart berry relates to life and health within First Nations’ culture. This program is open to everyone of all skill levels of beading.

Program runs Wednesdays, April 7, 14, 21 & 28 from 7:00-8:00pm.  Plan to attend all four sessions.

Material Pickup: Due to current Covid restrictions, please use Curbside Pick Up at Central Library (2311-12th Avenue) to collect your supply kit for the program.  Come to the library and call 306-777-6164.  A staff member will deliver the kit to the curbside for you.  Pick up your kit between March 30 to April 5. Library is closed April 2.

Strawberries are a traditional food and medicine within Indigenous cultures. Often referred to as the heart berry because of its shape, the strawberry symbolically represents love and reconciliation.  It inspires us to be connected to families and community, and teaches us how to maintain heartfelt relationships.
