Join England based artist Ayesha Gamiet to learn about symmetry, pattern, and natural forms in Islamic art. Create a floral artwork over two sessions. Materials provided.
Program runs March 27 & March 28 from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. Participants must attend both sessions.
Materials provided. Kits may be picked up from March 23 - 26th at the Central Library during library open hours. One kit per registered customer. Please note: some materials will not be supplied. Please read through the kit instructions before the program.

Ayesha Gamiet is an artist, illustrator and art educator, living and working in the South East of England. She is inspired by traditional arts of the world and the beauty of nature. In 2018, she was awarded an ijaza (traditional apprenticeship) in Islamic manuscript illumination under Master illuminators Ayten Tiryaki and Çiçek Derman in Istanbul. She has a BA in African and Asian Art History and Archaeology from the University of London, and a Master’s Degree in Traditional and Islamic Arts.
