Berny Hi:
Beekeeper and interdisciplinary artist Berny Hi is endlessly fascinated by nature and intangible aspects of the human experience.
As he pursues an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studies, he currently works with folks at the end of their life to create sincere, magical connections that surpass our unique perception of time and space.
He finds that there is simply not enough time in a day.

Laara Cerman’s work explores the intersection of art, science, and history through investigating patches of wildness that survive within suburban and urban landscapes. Her explorations continue into the forests of British Columbia where she aims to teach herself how to see the diversity of the forest floor in the midst of an era where this knowledge has lost its priority but not its importance. With an ongoing practice of collecting wild plant specimens, Laara is creating a digital herbarium documenting the life cycle of plants while learning about different aspects and uses of flora growing in Canada’s most biodiverse province. Through learning about the role of plants in the ecosystem and the gifts they offer us, one becomes more conscious of the mutual connections of life and the importance of reciprocity between humans and the Earth.

Wendy Peart is an artist, curator, educator, beekeeper, and gardener. She received her BFA and BA from the University of Regina and an MFA from the University of Victoria. She has exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions in Canada and her work is in several private and public collections including the University of Regina, MacKenzie Art Gallery, and SK Arts. She currently works at Dunlop Art Gallery as curator of Education and Community Outreach.

Melanie Monique Rose:
Melanie Monique Rose is a visual artist from Regina, Saskatchewan Treaty 4 Territory, and a long-time contributing member of Sâkêwêwak Artists’ Collective Inc. She attended Kootenay School of the Arts with a major in the Fibre Arts in Nelson, B.C. Rose has exhibited her artwork in both group and solo exhibitions Nationally. Her greatest honor was to receive the distinction of Excellence in Textiles in Dimension's 2013 touring show. In addition to showing her work, Rose has worked in the province as gallery facilitator, story-keeper, and art instructor for the Mackenzie Art Gallery and in addition teaches various workshops at both public and private institutions. In 2018 her daughter Meadow Rose was born and is currently a full-time mom, caregiver, and artist. Becoming a mother has increased Rose’s desire to share the stories of her culture and family and has challenged the way she creates independently and as a shared experience with her daughter. Rose is inspired and excited to see where the journey takes her as an Artist.
