This action packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue, a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.
Geanna Dunbar's Introduction:
Hellboy is one of Dark horses best series of comics in my opinion, with the strong storyline and original art from the creator Mike Mignola, the character first appeared in the San Diego Comic-con comics #2 in 1993 and since has been in miniseries, one shots and intercompany crossovers. He has been adapted in three live action films and 2 straight to DVD animated films that I strongly urge you to check out. This last 2019 version Mike Mignola voiced himself “This is how I envisioned Hellboy” - and I’m not going to argue with him.

For more than 50 years, Regina Public Library (RPL) has played a pivotal role in the cultural life of the city of Regina and surrounding areas. In the mid-60s, interest in a permanent venue for film enthusiasts grew into a program at the Library – a co-operative effort between the local Film Council and the National Film Board of Canada. A landmark year for the cultural, multi-cultural and surrounding business communities was 1975, the year the RPL Film Theatre was officially launched.
