Learn about sound recording, deep listening and experimental music composition. We will collect sounds and play on musical instruments, forming an ensemble to create a new kind of ambient folk music.
This is a process-based workshop, with participants engaging directly with technologies and instruments, and working toward creating a final group recording that will be presented in the Creation Cube at George Bothwell Branch in August. Bring your lunch.
This workshop is designed and delivered by Jeff Morton, a composer, musician, and media artist based in rural southeast Saskatchewan whose art projects are playful, experimental explorations of sound, communication, and composition.
